Don Pedro HS Successful at Motherlode Fair!

Don Pedro High FFA (Future Farmers of America) had much success at the Motherlode Fair this summer.  Students took many ribbons home for their animals they raised over the spring season.  Here are the results:

Meat Bird competition – Sierra Eaton took the Grand Champion award, Livana Guerrero took third place and Billy Adams took fifth.

Lambs – Livana Guerrero took fifth place, Elzie Pruett took seventh place and Zacc Dickerson took 8th place

Light weight market lambs – Jafet Perez took first place, Livana Guerrero took second, Valeria Sandoval took third place and Kelsey Barker took fourth.

Feeder lambs – Elzie Pruett took second place

Goats – Megan Temple took fifth place in Showmanship, second and Reserve Grand Champion for market goats

Breeding Does – Megan Temple first in both classes, first for best pair and Best Doe in show and Best Overall Goat of Boar Breeding Goats.

Congratulations to all the members of the Don Pedro High School FFA and their teacher and advisor, Katherine Kellogg for the great success.   Many of the FFA members sold their animals at the auction and made significant profits.
